About The Event
Anatomy, Asana & Breath
This hands-on workshop will help you learn to sense the 3 layers of muscle of your unique pelvic floor. Through exploring specific actions and structural alignment through Iyengar yoga, learn what practices will best support you as you sit, stand, move, and practice yoga. Discover ways to optimize pelvic health, including good circulation, movement, relaxation, and stability.
Workshop 2 includes practice for specific issues, working with the subtle body (mula bandha) and deep release of the pelvic floor. Workshop 1 (from this or past years) is highly recommended before taking this workshop.
This workshop is appropriate for all genders and levels, and recommended for yoga teachers, teacher trainees, health care providers, and anyone with a pelvic floor! Workshops count towards Yoga Alliance CEUs. An extensive handout with anatomy, poses for home practice and more is included!
