In this two-hour pre-recorded workshop you will learn how to invert safely and effortlessly. Maintaining the inversion offers tremendous healing— stimulating circulation, energizing the nervous system, calming the mind, and allowing the spirit to shine forth. Join us to learn several accessible ways to approach turning yourself upside down and experience for yourself the blessings of practicing these most beneficial poses. Inversions are for everyone!

Props for this workshop: 2 folding metal yoga chairs (or a set of 2 sturdy chairs without arms or wheels), 3 firm blankets, a yoga bolster (or 2–3 additional firm blankets), and a yoga belt.

Zoreh Afsarzadeh, founder and director of High Desert Yoga, has been teaching yoga since1985. She has deeply studied methodologies including Iyengar, Phoenix Rising YogaTherapy, meditation, and the American Yoga College. Her teaching combines a delicate knowledge of the body that allows a compassionate spiritual expression of the postures to emerge. With her joyous personality, sense of humor, and passion for making yoga accessible to everyone, Zoreh creates a nurturing and safe environment for students to go deeper in their practice.
