Yoga is a powerful component of your health maintenance "tool kit" to build resilience against seasonal flus. Summer is a great time to prepare for the flu season. In this workshop we will practice deeply relaxing poses to increase resistance and stamina while calming the nervous system and deepening breath capacity.    

Props: Please have a chair, sticky mat, yoga strap, 4-5 firm blankets, and a yoga bolster (or 2–3 additional blankets).   

The session will be recorded and everyone who registers will have access to the video for five days afterward.

Zoreh Afsarzadeh, founder and director of High Desert Yoga, has been teaching yoga since1985. She has deeply studied methodologies including Iyengar, Phoenix Rising YogaTherapy, meditation, and the American Yoga College. Her teaching combines a delicate knowledge of the body that allows a compassionate spiritual expression of the postures to emerge. With her joyous personality, sense of humor, and passion for making yoga accessible to everyone, Zoreh creates a nurturing and safe environment for students to go deeper in their practice.

This workshop will take place on Zoom. Register at least 30 minutes beforehand. You will receive the Zoom link in a confirmation email at the end of the registration process and again in a reminder email one day before the class. Please join the Zoom meeting 10–15 minutes before the workshop begins.
