Ayurveda is the world's oldest system of Medicine, and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) is the world's oldest and most precise system of Astrology. Since ancient times Ayurveda and Jyotish have been practiced together. Ayurvedic constitution and potential timing for health and disease can be gleaned through understanding Vedic Astrology. Both disciplines offer helpful corrective measures and, in this way, Medicine and Astrology are linked.

This workshop will introduce the main features of Vedic Astrology and its connection to Ayurveda to gain insight into your spiritual evolution and explore how these systems can be used to understand the karma that affects our health (doshas) and well-being. You will learn ways to incorporate the practices of yoga and Ayurveda alongside astrology to break karmic patterns and support thriving health. This workshop is appropriate for both seasoned astrologers and Ayurvedic practitioners, as well as those with no background in either system.

Yogacharya Sanjay, International Yoga Teacher and Vedic Astrologer was born and raised in North India in a jeweler's family where it is imperative to know Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) to find the right gemstones according to the natal chart. The deep mystical and practical knowledge of Jyotish was passed onto Sanjay from a young age and he now carries on this lineage of ancient wisdom and expertise to guide you on a journey toward deeper self-awareness, greater inner peace, and wiser choices aligned with your most authentic life purpose—especially when you’re at a crucial turning point in your life, practice and teaching. Sanjay embodies and has been devoted to the path of yoga since 2009 when he met the first of many spiritual masters. After meeting the spiritual master his life changed and he felt a strong inner calling and curiosity to know more about the path of yoga and Jyotish. His formal study in yogic practices began in 2010-2011 at MDNIY, one of the most renowned yoga schools in India. He has experience leading multiple yoga and meditation retreats + YTTC. He holds a U.S. 200 RYT Certificate from Yoga Alliance. Sanjay moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in August 2018 and is here of service to the land of enchantment and the diverse population it attracts from all over the world.
