About The Event

Learn to build a solid foundation with stability and grace in two of yoga’s most deeply healing, rejuvenating, majestic and important poses: Sirsasana: (headstand) and Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulderstand). Join Avery and explore the Iyengar method for how to safely, systematically, intelligently build your inversion practice. When performed properly, these poses can nourish the vital systems, replenish energy, build stamina, strengthen the lungs, purify the blood, improve digestion, unload the spine, boost immunity, improve memory, and as BKS Iyengar says, “widen your spiritual horizons.”

Counts towards Yoga Alliance CE hours for teachers!

Prerequisite: stability in standing poses and downward dog. Do not practice inversions during menstruation.
