Dive deeper into your practice of Yoga, and learn the sister science of Ayurveda with a nourishing yoga retreat in Troncones, Mexico, a tranquil and beautiful beach, washed by the warm clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. Troncones is located 20 miles from the fabulous sleepy fishing village of Zihuatanejo. We will be staying on Manzanilla Bay, the most protected and beautiful beach in Troncones at the Casa Manzanillo Boutique Hotel and Hacienda Eden. And we'll enjoy delicious, healthy seafood and vegetarian entrees prepared by professional gourmet chefs with several Ayurvedic meals interspersed throughout the week.
Just a short walk down the glorious beach from the hotel, you will arrive at Yoga del Pacifico, where each day Zoreh and Melissa will offer two nourishing and revitalizing Yoga asana classes interwoven with Ayurvedic principles and including therapeutic, gentle alignment, restorative, and Yin Yoga, meditation, mantra and pranayama practice. Additionally Melissa will offer teachings on the fundamentals of Ayurveda and how to make this vast and rich medical system practical in your day to day life. You will learn the basics of Ayurveda and discover your inherent and current constitution and best foods for your dosha. You will also learn how to structure your daily routine to help balance your constitution and find more harmonious balance in your body, mind and spirit. Additionally, there will be two demonstrations on healing elixirs and simple, nourishing meals so you can take home and implement what you experience on retreat. You will also receive a special gift bag at the start of the retreat to begin implementing some of the daily lifestyle practices that supports the practices you will be learning.
For this retreat there will be a strong emphasis on taking time to relax and “do nothing,” enjoying the beach and unscheduled time to rest and restore.
