It has been suggested that the most difficult asana is standing on one's own two feet. Of all the asanas, the standing poses are the most foundational for the structure and stability they provide. In addition to this, they also provide organizational understanding for back bends, forward bends and inversions etc. Because of this, standing asanas serve as the core of asana practice.
This two-hour workshop focuses on the organization of the entire body, particularly the legs and pelvis, in various standing poses.
Props: yoga mat, block, belt, blanket, chair (without arms or wheels), and about 2-1/2 feet of wall space
